On July 2nd, 2024 at approximately 2:26 pm, the police department was dispatched to the 1100 block of East Simpson Street for a crash which just occurred. Investigation determined Warfa Mohamed was driving westbound and attempted to make a left turn into a business parking lot. Mohamed failed to yield the right-of-way to Steven Whiteash, who was driving eastbound. Neither operator reported injury, however, a passenger in Whiteash’s vehicle was seen by EMS due to a minor injury. Both vehicles were towed from the scene due to the damage they sustained.
A summary traffic citation was filed at the conclusion of the investigation.
