On August 14th, 2024 at approximately 3:16 pm, the police department was dispatched to the 200 block of West Main Street for a crash which just occurred. Investigation determined Cameron Haskins, operating the red Mazda, was driving eastbound when he fell asleep and crossed into the oncoming lane. Haskins vehicle struck the westbound blue Acura, driven by Helmut Espig. No injuries were reported, however, both vehicles were towed from the scene due to the damage they sustained.
A traffic citation was filed at the conclusion of the investigation.
