Traffic Crash

MBG-2024-09-0087

On September 4th, 2024, at approximately 5:02pm, the police department was dispatched to the intersection of South Market Street and Marble Street for a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle. Investigation determined the motorcycle operator, David Kuhn, was driving northbound on South Market Street. The vehicle in front of Kuhn stopped to make a left turn onto West Marble Street. Kuhn passed the vehicle on the right side, but failed to see a southbound vehicle making a left turn onto East Marble Street. The southbound vehicle, operated by Raeanne Klinger, struck Kuhn’s motorcycle as she was conducting her turn. Kuhn sustained an injury from the crash and was seen by EMS on scene.

Section 3304 of the PA vehicle code allows drivers to pass a vehicle making a left turn on the right side of the roadway as long as the pass can be made without driving off the roadway, and can be made safely. A traffic citation was filed at the conclusion of the investigation.

The police department was assisted on scene by Penn State EMS and the Mechanicsburg Fire Department.

David Kuhn, 39 – Mechanicsburg, PA 17055
