On September 26th, 2024 at approximately 10:38 am, the police department was dispatched to the 300 block of East Main Street for a single vehicle crash. Investigation determined the drivers side windshield wiper on the vehicle had fallen off several miles prior. The operator, Daniel Triplett, continued driving the vehicle despite the rain and lack of wiper blade. Upon reaching this location, he could not adequately see the traffic in front of him. Upon realizing the vehicle in front of him came to a stop, Triplett swerved off the roadway and struck a tree. Triplett’s vehicle was towed from the scene as a result of the damage it sustained.
