On November 16th, 2024 at approximately 2:18 am, the police department was dispatched to the 200 block of West Simpson Street for a three vehicle crash. Investigation determined Damien Vitale was driving the black Ford Explorer westbound. Vitale reported a deer ran out in front of him and he swerved to avoid hitting it. Instead of hitting the deer, Vitale swerved into the parked Cadillac. The force of the crash caused the parking mechanism to break and the Cadillac was propelled forward. The Cadillac was pushed over 100 feet where it struck the Mini Cooper. The Mini was pushed another five feet by the Cadillac. The Ford and Cadillac were both towed from the scene due to the damage they sustained.
