On December 8th, 2024 at approximately 10:30 am, the police department was dispatched to the intersection of East Simpson Street and South Walnut Street for a two vehicle crash. Investigation determined the silver Lexus, driven by George Haas, was traveling eastbound. Haas attempted to make a left turn onto South Walnut Street but failed to yield the right-of-way to the westbound green Infiniti, driven by Alyssa Barnes. No injuries were reported however, both vehicles were towed from the scene due to the damage they sustained.
