On December 23rd, 2024 at approximately 11:33 am, the police department was dispatched to the intersection of South Market Street and Marble Street for a two vehicle crash. Investigation determined the Ford Escape, operated by Floyd Fehr, proceeded from the stop sign on East Marble Street without clearance. Upon entering the intersection to continued West, Fehr struck the Toyota Yaris operated by Ruth Simmons. One operator was seen by EMS on scene and declined transport to the hospital. Simmons’ vehicle was towed from the scene as a result of the damage it sustained.
The police department was assisted on scene by Penn State EMS.
