On March 22nd, 2025 at approximately 1:54pm, the police department was dispatched to the intersection of East Main Street and Walnut Street for a two vehicle crash. The operator of the blue Toyota Camry, Nermin Lebib, was driving westbound, while the operator of the white Toyota Corolla, Donald Germeyer, was driving eastbound and turning left to continue northbound onto North Walnut Street. Investigation determined the traffic signal was red for east/westbound traffic, and both operators ran the light.
The police department was assisted on scene by Penn State EMS and the Mechanicsburg Fire Department.
