On June 2nd, 2022, at approximately 12:46 pm, the police department was dispatched to a crash which just occurred. Upon arrival officers determined there were two vehicles involved. Investigation into the crash found Cardamone was operating her vehicle northbound in the 200 block of South Market Street. The vehicle in front of Cardamone’s vehicle slowed for the traffic light at the intersection with Simpson Street. Cardamone did not stop in time and struck the now stopped vehicle. Cardamone’s vehicle required towing from the scene due to the damage it sustained in the crash. The passenger in the struck vehicle suffered an injury and was transported to the hospital by a parent. Cardamone was found to be under the influence of alcohol. It was determined she was unable to safely operate a motor vehicle and was subsequently arrested. A preliminary hearing will be held at a later date.
