On April 12th, 2022, at approximately 9:43 pm, the police department was dispatched to the intersection of West Trindle Road and Longmeadow Street for a crash which just occurred. Upon arrival officers determined there were two vehicles involved. Investigation into the crash found Blessing was driving his vehicle westbound on West Trindle Road. The vehicle in front of Blessing’s vehicle attempted to turn left onto Longmeadow Street. Blessing attempted to pass the vehicle and a crash occurred. As a result of the impact, Blessing’s vehicle overturned. Both vehicles required towing from the scene due to the damage they sustained in the crash. Blessing was found to be under the influence of alcohol. It was determined Blessing was unable to safely operate a motor vehicle and he was subsequently arrested. A preliminary hearing will be held at a later date. The police department was assisted on scene by the Mechanicsburg Fire Department and Penn State Health EMS.
