Please help congratulate Sergeant Ryan McCormick who was promoted to the rank Sergeant. He was sworn in on June 24th. He has been with the Mechanicsburg Police Department since December of 2015. Promotion to Sergeant consists of a written test and an oral interview. The test and interview are graded separately and the candidates are given a final score based upon the results and ranked. Sergeant McCormick was chosen from the list of candidates who were eligible for promotion at the conclusion of the promotional process. Sergeant McCormick will serve a probationary period at the rank, as he is trained and acquires supervisory experience at his new position.
