On June 20th, 2024 at approximately 8:01 am, the police department was dispatched to the intersection of East Simpson Street and South Norway Street for a two vehicle crash. Investigation determined Mealy was driving southbound on South Norway Street. Mealy stopped for the posted stop sign and attempted to enter East Simpson Street, however, she failed to yield the right-of-way to Moyer who was driving eastbound on East Simpson Street. Moyer was unable to come to a stop and struck Mealy. Moyer’s vehicle was towed as a result of the damage it sustained.
A traffic citation was filed at the conclusion of the investigation.
