On February 2nd, 2022, at approximately 2:48 pm, the police department was dispatched to the intersection of South Market and Marble Streets for a crash which just occurred. Upon arrival officers determined there were two vehicles involved. Investigation into the crash found Velez was operating her vehicle westbound on East Marble Street. Velez stopped at the stop sign for the intersection and was attempting to cross over South Market Street to continue westbound. Upon pulling into the intersection, Velez’s vehicle was struck by a vehicle travelling southbound on South Market Street. This vehicle was operated by Stum. Velez’s vehicle required towing from the scene due to the damage it sustained in the crash.
