On April 14th, 2024, at approximately 12:17 pm, the police department was dispatched to the intersection of South York Street and West Keller Street for a crash involving a motorcycle. Investigation determined the motorcycle operator, McDaniel, was traveling southbound on South York Street and had the right-of-way. Bloschichak was traveling eastbound on West Keller Street. After stopping at the posted stop sign, Bloschichak attempted to cross the intersection to continue eastbound. Bloschichak failed to observe McDaniel approaching and proceeded into his path. McDaniel was unable to a avoid Bloschichak’s vehicle and struck the drivers side front corner. McDaniel was transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Both vehicles were towed from the scene as a result of the damage they sustained.
The police department was assisted on scene by the Mechanicsburg Fire Department and Penn State EMS.
