On 04/15/2024 at approximately 3:42 pm, the police department was dispatched to the intersection of East Main Street and North Walnut Street for a hit and run crash which just occurred. A white semi pulling an orange trailer was observed making an illegal turn to travel northbound onto North Walnut Street. During the illegal turn, the trailer struck the traffic light pole located at the northeast corner of the intersection. An Officer located the tractor trailer arriving at a nearby warehouse and initiated a traffic stop, identifying Kildaze as the operator. Damage was located on the trailer to include a bent rim and flat tire. Kildaze informed the Officer that he was aware he struck the pole and had a flat tire as a result. The traffic signal pole sustained damage and was inspected by traffic control specialists.
