On December 25th, 2022, at approximately 1:51 am, a traffic stop was conducted in the area of West Main and West Simpson Streets for a traffic violation. Upon making contact with the driver they provided a false name and date of birth. Officers were able to identify the driver by her real name and date of birth. She was identified as Oneal through PENNDOT. Officers wanted to verify her identity using a fingerprint scanner and while waiting for the scanner, Oneal attempted to use a lighter to burn her finger tips in an attempt to alter her prints. Officers attempted to place Oneal into handcuffs and she resisted their attempts. She was eventually placed under arrest. It was also determined Oneal was under the influence of alcohol and she was not safe to operate a motor vehicle. Oneal’s driver’s license is also suspended for a prior DUI offense. Oneal was transported to the Cumberland County Prison for processing. A preliminary hearing will be held at a later date.
