On March 25th, 2021, at approximately 5:20 pm, the victim contacted the police department regarding a fraudulent transaction on their bank account which was completed through PayPal. The victim resides in the 1100 block of East Coover Street. The victim advised they noticed the charge today and had already contacted their bank regarding the charge. The victim did not authorize the transaction and it is unknown how their bank account information was obtained. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the police department.
This serves as a reminder to be sure to check your bank statements thoroughly and often. Any questionable transactions should be addressed with the bank to where you belong. Any fraudulent transactions should be reported to your bank and your local police department.
