On January 18th, 2025, at approximately 9:07 pm, officers were dispatched to the 1st block of West Simpson Street for an individual yelling for help. Officers were able to determine where the individual resided and attempted contact. No one would come to the door and officers eventually had to force entry into the residence. It was determined a physical domestic had occurred. The individual requesting help was identified as the victim and had visible physical injury. Upon making contact with the defendant, Mason Trimble, he became combative and assaulted officers. He was eventually taken into custody and upon being transported to a vehicle he spit on officers. He was transported to the hospital for treatment and then to the Cumberland County Prison for processing and arraignment. He was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Elizabeth Beckley and bail was set at $50,000, secure. A preliminary hearing will be held at a later date.
