On March 1st, 2021, at approximately 4:35 pm, a witness called the police department reporting a tractor trailer struck the stop sign located at the intersection of South York Street and West Marble Street. The tractor trailer was reportedly travelling southbound on South York Street and turned eastbound onto West Marble Street. The stop sign was struck by the trailer during the turn. The witness provided the name of the trucking company on the trailer. The officer handling the crash contacted the company and was able to determine who the driver of the tractor trailer was using the company’s automated tracking system for their trucks. The driver will have a citation filed against them.
