On September 22nd, 2020, at approximately 7:06 pm, officers were dispatched to a crash which had just occurred in the 300 block of East Main Street. Upon arrival officers learned there were two vehicles involved. The striking vehicle fled the scene leaving the struck vehicle remaining. The struck vehicle was parked facing eastbound and suffered disabling damage requiring the vehicle to be towed from the scene. The striking vehicle was travelling eastbound on East Main Street at the time of the crash and was last seen turning onto South Chestnut Street and then into an alley. Witnesses advised the striking vehicle could have been a late 1990s to early 2000s, black Dodge Durango. Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact the police department.
