On January 12th, 2023, at approximately 10:47 am, the victim contacted the police department regarding a loan showing up on their credit report. The victim who resides in the 400 block of South York Street stated a Federal Pell Grant loan was listed on the report. The victim advised they did not apply for the loan or provide anyone authorization to apply for the loan for them. The loan was for a college in California, but listed the victim’s identifying information. It is unknown how their information was obtained. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the police department.
