On September 22nd, 2020, at approximately 9:14 am, the victim contacted the police department after receiving a letter in the mail from a bank about the victim opening a savings account. The victim contacted the bank and advised it was not them who opened the account. The bank verified their information was used to open the account. The victim contacted our department after learning. Residents are reminded to keep an eye on their credit reports and ensure there are not accounts opened in their name by someone else.
