On October 31st, 2022, at approximately 8:44 pm, the victim contacted the police department about someone trying to open their front door. The victim, who resides in the 300 block of James Street, advised they were in their residence and heard someone to the side of the residence. After this, they heard the front screen door open and someone trying to open the front door, which was locked at the time. Officers arrived and found wet shoe prints on the stoop. The victim and their family were not expecting anyone at the time. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the police department.
