Police Officer Testing Rescheduled

The Mechanicsburg Police Department has partnered with other agencies in the Cumberland and York County area to test for the position of police officer. Anyone interested in applying and participating in the testing process should visit the Cumberland County Police Testing Consortium website. http://cumberlandcountypolicetest.com/ Testing is scheduled to take place on August 1st or August 2nd, 2020, at Cedar Cliff High School, Camp Hill, PA. Once an application is received you will be notified of which date to report. There will be a physical fitness test, followed by a written test. Mechanicsburg Police Department will be putting an together an eligibility list, but requires applicants to be ACT 120 certified by the time of hiring. This is not the same for all participating police departments.

The original date of the testing had been scheduled for March 28th and 29th, 2020. Those dates were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Any applicants that already applied for the original dates, need not reapply. New applicants have until July 24th, 2020, to apply.
