On December 29th, 2021, at approximately 10:32 am, the police department was dispatched to a business located in the 400 block of Cheryl Avenue. The company described the truck which arrived on the property of the business. The individual driving the truck loaded a large amount of scrap metal onto the truck and left. The business was able to capture the truck on video surveillance.
On December 30th, 2021, at approximately 7:26 am, the police department was dispatched back to the same business. An employee of the business called advising the truck was back and at the business currently. Officers were able to get there before the truck left. The individual operating the truck was identified. More scrap metal had been loaded onto the truck. It was determined the male was the same person at the business on the 29th. Charges for the theft of the scrap metal are pending.
