On October 23rd, 2023, the police department was contacted by the victim regarding an attempted theft from his vehicle in the 200 block of West Maplewood Avenue. The victim reported someone attempted to pry open the rear lift gate of his SUV during the overnight hours of October 17th and 18th, causing damage to the vehicle. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the police department.
