On April 8th, 2022, at approximately 7:12 am, the police department was dispatched to a crash which just occurred in the 1st block of West Schoolside Drive. Upon arrival officers determined there were two vehicles involved. Investigation into the crash found Schmidt was operating her vehicle eastbound in the 1st block of West Schoolside Drive. Schmidt was passing a trash truck collecting trash. Upon passing the truck, the glare from the sun got into her eyes. She could not see a parked vehicle and a crash occurred. Schmidt’s vehicle required towing from the scene due to the damage it sustained in the crash.
