On September 19th, 2020, at approximately 2:28 pm, the police department was dispatched to the area of East Simpson Street and South Walnut Street. Upon arrival officers determined there were four vehicles involved in the crash. A vehicle travelling eastbound on East Simpson Street failed to come to a stop for three vehicles stopped in traffic. The first vehicle, operated by Masland, struck a vehicle stopped for traffic. The second vehicle, operated by Harrison, was pushed into the vehicle in front of her. That vehicle, the third vehicle, operated by Tosh, was pushed into fourth vehicle operated by Davis. A passenger in one of the vehicles was injured and transported to the hospital. The first vehicle involved required towing from the scene due to the damage sustained in the crash. The police department was assisted on scene Hampden Township EMS and the Mechanicsburg Fire Department.
