On July 15th, 2022, at approximately 10:54 am, the police department was dispatched for a crash which just occurred in the 600 block of Apple Drive. Upon arrival officers determined there was one vehicle involved. Investigation into the crash found Simmons was operating his motorcycle northbound on East Marble Street. He stopped at the stop sign at the intersection with Apple Drive. Simmons turned and began travelling westbound on Apple Drive. While making the turn Simmons advised he looked away from the road and upon brining his attention back, he had gotten too close to the curb and struck it. Simmons crash the motorcycle and was injured as a result. Simmons was transported to the hospital for further evaluations of his injuries. The motorcycle required towing from the scene due to the damage it sustained in the crash. The police department was assisted on scene by Penn State Health EMS.
