On December 17th, 2022, at approximately 11:08 am, the police department was dispatched to the intersection of East Main and Arch Streets for a crash which just occurred. Upon arrival officers determined there were two vehicles involved. Investigation into the crash found Neidig was operating her vehicle westbound on East Main Street. Follet was stopped at the stop sign on North Arch Street. He was attempting to cross over East Main Street to continue south on South Arch Street. Upon pulling into the intersection his vehicle struck Neidig’s vehicle. Follet advised the glare from the sun caused him to not see Neidig’s vehicle. Neidig was evaluated by EMS on scene for injuries sustained in the crash. Her vehicle required towing from the scene due to the damage it sustained in the crash. The police department was assisted on scene by Penn State Health EMS.
