On January 4th, 2023, at approximately 6:58 am, the police department was dispatched to the intersection of of Arch and East Main Streets for a crash which just occurred. Upon arrival officers determined there were two vehicles involved. Investigation into the crash found Bohner was stopped at the stop sign on North Arch Street. He was attempting to turn left onto East Main Street. Upon pulling into the intersection Bohner pulled into the path of a vehicle travelling westbound being operated by Benfettane. Bohner’s vehicle was pushed into the porch of a residence nearby. Bohner and Benfettane were both transported to the hospital for further evaluation of injuries they sustained as a result of the crash. Both vehicles also required towing from the scene due to the damage they sustained. The police department was assisted on scene by Penn State Health EMS, Hampden Township EMS and the Mechanicsburg Fire Department.
