On June 20th, 2023, at approximately 3:47 pm, the Police Department was dispatched to a crash which just occurred at the intersection of East Simpson Street and Gale Street. Upon arrival officers determined there were two vehicles involved. Investigation into the crash found Cofield was stopped at the stop sign on Gale Street facing north. Cofield pulled from the stop sign making a left-hand turn. Hanna III pulled from a parking lot on the opposite side of East Simpson Street intending to go straight across onto Gale Street. Hanna III’s vehicle was towed from the scene due to the damage.
