On November 22nd, 2023, at approximately 3:47 pm, the police department was dispatched to the intersection of South Market Street and Keller Street for a crash which just occurred. Investigation determined Furtado was traveling southbound on South Market Street and Weiss was traveling westbound on East Keller Street. After coming to a complete stop at the posted stop sign, Weiss attempted to cross the intersection to continue westbound onto West Keller Street. Weiss did not see Furtado approaching and struck the front driver’s side of her vehicle within the intersection. Both vehicles were towed from the scene as a result of the damage they sustained.
