On March 25th, 2024 at approximately 9:32 am, the police department was dispatched to the intersection of West Simpson Street and South York Street for a crash which just occurred. Investigation determined Gaudelli was traveling westbound and failed to stop for the red signal. Upon entering the intersection, he struck a northbound vehicle. Gaudelli, who was wearing a helmet, was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Traffic was detoured for about 45 minutes while the crash was investigated and debris was cleaned off the roadway. Both vehicles were towed from the scene due to the damage they sustained.
The police department was assisted on scene by the Mechanicsburg Fire Department and Penn State EMS.
