On February 26th, 2021, at approximately 10:12 am, officers were dispatched to the intersection of West Simpson Street and South York Street for a crash which just occurred. Upon arrivals officers found two vehicles were involved. Investigation into the crash determined both vehicles were travelling in opposite directions. Clouser was operating her vehicle southbound on South York Street. Gutshall was operating his vehicle northbound on South York Street. Clouser was attempting to turn left onto West Simpson Street and observed the left turn signal on Gutshall’s vehicle illuminated. As Clouser started into her turn, Gutshall acknowledged he decided to not turn left, and continued straight through the intersection northbound. Both vehicles struck each other in the intersection. The traffic light was green for both drivers. Clouser’s vehicle required towing from the scene due to the damage sustained from the crash.
