On April 3rd, 2021, at approximately 5:35 pm, the police department was dispatched to the intersection of West Simpson Street and West Main Street for a crash which just occurred. Upon arrival officers found two vehicles were involved. Investigation into the crash determined both vehicles were travelling westbound on West Simpson Street. Rayale was operating his vehicle and stopped for the traffic light at West Main Street as it turned red. Brookhart was operating the vehicle behind Rayale and did not stop his vehicle in time, striking Rayale’s vehicle. Brookhart’s vehicle required towing from the scene due to the damage it sustained.
