On July 21st, 2021, at approximately 5:47 pm, the police department was dispatched to a crash which just occurred at the intersection of West Simpson Street and South Washington Street. Upon arrival officers determined there were two vehicles involved. Investigation into the crash found a vehicle operated by Reisinger stopped at the stop sign on South Washington Street facing northbound. Reisinger advised he pulled from the stop sign and upon entering into the intersection a motorcycle travelling westbound struck Reisinger’s vehicle. The motorcyclist, Jones, was thrown from his motorcycle due to the impact. Both vehicles required towing from the scene due to the damage they sustained. Jones was transported to a hospital for further treatment of his injuries. The police department was assisted on the scene by the Mechanicsburg Fire Department and Penn State Health EMS.
