On July 31st, 2021, at approximately 12:05 pm, the police department was dispatched to the intersection of South Market Street and Shepherdstown Road. Upon arrival officers found there were two vehicles involved in the crash. Investigation into the crash determined a vehicle operated by Beauparlant, was travelling northbound on South Market Street. Beauparlant did not stop for the red light at the intersection and struck a vehicle operated by Lindsay. Lindsay was attempting to turn left from Shepherdstown Road, onto South Market Street after getting the green light. Both vehicles required towing from the scene due to damage they sustained in the crash.
