On October 20th, 2021, at approximately 8:33 am, the police department was dispatched to the intersection of East Main and Walnut Streets for a crash which just occurred. Upon arrival officers determined there were two vehicles involved. Investigation into the crash determined Hull was operating a tow truck eastbound on East Main Street. Day was travelling northbound on South Walnut Street and stopped for the red light. Day was attempting to continue north onto North Walnut Street upon getting the green light. Day advised as she was crossing over East Main Street her vehicle was struck by the tow truck Hull was operating. It was determined Hull entered into the intersection while facing a red light. Day was transported to the hospital for further treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. Day’s vehicle required towing from the scene due to the damage it sustained. The police department was assisted on scene by Penn State Health EMS and the Mechanicsburg Fire Department.
