On May 13th, 2021, at approximately 9:59 am, the victim contacted the police department regarding their employer advising them they received notification the victim had applied for unemployment benefits. The claim was to have been filed in April of 2021 using the victim’s name and social security number. The victim contacted the Department of Labor and Industry to report the issue. It is unknown who used the victim’s identifying information to apply for the benefits. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the police department.
