On December 15th, 2022, at approximately 9:27 am, the police department was dispatched to the 300 block of North York Street for a burglary and theft which occurred overnight. Earlier in the morning on the 15th, at approximately 2:08 am, the police department was dispatched for an alarm to the business. Officers checked the area and everything was secure. Surveillance cameras show at approximately 2:26 am, an individual appears and uses a pry bar to force open the front doors to the business. Once inside the individual takes the tip jar and leaves the area. The person is wearing a hoodie pulled up over their head, sweat pants, a mask covering their face and gloves. This is believed to be connected to several similar burglaries in the area. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the police department.
