On March 21st, 2024 at approximately 1:33 am, the Mechanicsburg Police Department was dispatched to the first block of West Simpson Street for an assault. An investigation revealed there was an argument between the victim and Evan Butler. During the argument, Butler pushed the victim into the wall where they struck their head. The victim had an injury consistent with this type of action. Butler was arrested and transported to Cumberland County Prison where he was processed and arraigned. A preliminary hearing will be held at a later date.
