On April 7th, 2024, at approximately 7:42 PM, the Mechanicsburg Police Department was dispatched to a business in the 200 block of West Main Street. It was reported the suspect, identified as Dennis Edmiston, was intoxicated and causing a disturbance when he was instructed to leave. Officers located Edmiston at his residence. Further investigation revealed Edmiston was under the influence to the degree he could not safely operate a motor vehicle. When Officers attempted to place Edmiston into handcuffs, he resisted their efforts. Edmiston was eventually handcuffed and transported to Cumberland County Prison for processing and arraignment. A preliminary hearing will be held at a later date.
