On March 20th, 2024 at approximately 2:57pm the police department was dispatched to the intersection of Shepherdstown Road and East Marble Street for a hit and run crash. Investigation determined Krone was traveling northbound while a black Volvo sedan was traveling eastbound. Both operators stopped at the four-way stop intersection. The Volvo proceeded across Shepherdstown Road when Krone entered the intersection, striking the Volvo. Krone’s vehicle continued over the northeast curb and into the stop sign. The operator of the Volvo did not stop to provide their information or render aid. Investigating officers later located the Volvo at it’s registered address and determined Berry was the operator at the time of the crash. Krone’s vehicle was towed from the scene as a result of the damage it sustained.
