On March 27th, 2021, at approximately 6:41 am, the police department was dispatched to the intersection of West Keller Street and South York Street for a crash which just occurred. Officers were informed one of the vehicles involved, a motorcycle, had fled the scene. Upon arrival it was determined there were two vehicles involved. The operator of the motorcycle was later identified and the motorcycle was located. Investigation found, Greiner, was operating her vehicle eastbound on West Keller Street. She was attempting to turn left, to travel northbound on South York Street. After stopping at the stop sign and pulling into the intersection, her vehicle was struck by the motorcycle which was northbound on South York Street. The motorcycle was being operated by Fickes. EMS was summoned to the scene due to a Greiner having her 2-year-old son in her vehicle. Both were eventually transported to the hospital for further evaluation. Greiner’s vehicle required towing from the scene due to the damage sustained. It is believed Greiner was under the influence of a controlled substance at the time of the crash. Fickes advised he fled the scene because of not having insurance and the motorcycle was not currently registered. Investigation and charges are pending against both Greiner and Fickes. The police department was assisted at the scene by Penn State Health EMS.
