On July 4th, 2022, at approximately 1:08 pm, the police department was dispatched to a hit and run crash which had just occurred in the 100 block of North Market Street. Upon arriving officers were informed a passing vehicle had poles hanging out of the passenger side window of the vehicle. While the vehicle was passing a parked U-Haul truck, rented by the victim, the poles struck the side of the U-Haul. The vehicle did not stop and was last seen travelling southbound on North Market Street. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the police department.
