On December 8th, 2022, at approximately 6:14 am, the police department was dispatched to the intersection of South Market and Marble Streets for a hit and run crash which just occurred. Upon arrival officers determined the victim was operating their vehicle southbound on South Market Street. The victim observed a vehicle enter into the intersection travelling eastbound on West Marble Street. The vehicle did not stop for the stop sign at the intersection and it was struck by the victim’s vehicle. Both vehicles stopped after impact. The driver of the struck vehicle exited their vehicle, looked at the damage on their vehicle, got back into the vehicle, and left the scene. It was last seen heading east on East Marble Street. The vehicle was described as a white sedan, operated by a white male. Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact the police department.
