On May 29th, 2021, at approximately 4:41 pm, the victim contacted the police department after receiving checks in the mail from a bank account which had recently been opened. The victim also received two new credit cards in the mail. The victim did not open any of the accounts. The victim’s name and social security number was used to open the accounts. The victim is not out any money, but it was suggested they check their credit history. The victim resides in the 200 block of South Washington Street and it is unknown how the victim’s information was obtained. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the police department.
