On September 17th, 2021, at approximately 5:22 pm, the victim contacted the police department after receiving mail stating their Chase bank account had been closed. The victim, who resides in the 1300 block of Apple Drive, advised they did not have a Chase bank account. The victim contacted the bank and learned someone opened an account using their information and also obtained unemployment benefit’s in the victim’s name. The account was determined to be fraudulent and was therefore closed by the bank. The victim was being notified because of their information being used. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the police department.
