On September 17th 2021, at approximately 3:58 pm, the police department was dispatched to the intersection of South York and West Simpson Streets for a crash which just occurred. Upon arrival officers determined there were three vehicles involved. Investigation into the crash found a vehicle operated by female juvenile was stopped facing westbound, in the intersection, preparing to turn left onto South York Street from West Simpson Street. Another female juvenile was operating her vehicle eastbound on West Simpson Street. The light turned yellow and the female juvenile proceeded to make her left turn, turning into the path of the other female juvenile, who continued through the intersection. Stewart was stopped at the red light, facing northbound on South York Street. The female juvenile’s vehicle, which started their turn, was pushed into Stewart’s vehicle after impact. All three vehicles required towing from the scene due to the damage they sustained in the crash. The police department was assisted on scene by the Mechanicsburg Fire Department.
